Keeping Families Comfortable During Coronavirus

Friends, with HVAC being designated as an essential business to keep families comfortable indoors as outdoor temperatures rise, we are taking all recommended precautions to ensure we deliver the best service while keeping you and your family safe. We’re using remote dispatching to get our technicians on their way to your home, rather than gathering at our office. Plus, we’re doing curbside pickup for them to pick up any parts or supplies from our warehouse. All technicians are practicing social distancing and extensive hand washing/sanitizing between every appointment, and will meet your family’s needs in whatever way you feel most comfortable. We’re minimizing time spent in your home, only entering to make any necessary repairs. Any dialogue with our technicians can take place over the phone, if you prefer. We were the first HVAC company to go paperless in Gwinnett, the first to have a website, and are now likely one of the first to have our weekly technicians meeting via video conferencing to keep us all at safe distances. If you have HVAC needs, we stand at the ready to bring you and your family comfort. We are here to support you during this unprecedented time. Please contact us for […]

Help Us Assemble Book Exchanges for our Community

We are proud to be partnering with Gwinnett Coalition’s GREAT program (Gwinnett Reading Exchange & Art Transforms) to have a positive impact on literacy in our community. The GREAT Little Minds project is a public art and public awareness campaign designed to inspire the love of reading, provide access to early learning children’s books in areas where books are scarce and encourage appreciation for public art in Gwinnett County. The “kits” to make 200 small book exchanges were handcrafted by students at Maxwell High School of Technology. 20 of these book exchanges will be assembled at our office by volunteers. Once assembled, all 200 book exchanges will be painted, adorned and magically transformed into works of art by local artists. How Can You Help?  We need volunteers like you to help us assemble 20 of the book exchanges. With only basic assembly and painting skills needed, this is a great activity for adults and kids 10+. When: Saturday, Nov 2nd, 9:30am-11:30am. (pizza provided for lunch!)   Where: Holtkamp Heating & Air Office, 60 Old Peachtree Road NE, Suwanee, GA 30024 If you would like to volunteer for this event, please RSVP by contacting us and letting us know how many volunteers will be attending in your […]

Giving Back to Our Community with Gwinnett Tech Scholarships

Matthew is currently Board Chair of the Gwinnett Tech Foundation, and the group recently hosted their 7th Annual Scholarship Celebration at the Lawrenceville campus of Gwinnett Technical College. This annual event gives scholarship donors like Matthew the opportunity to meet their scholarship recipients and discuss why they support the Gwinnett Tech Foundation. Matthew is proud to have been awarding scholarships to students for many years, and with the Georgia Hope Scholarship now being extended to cover technical college tuition for qualified students, those funds can be used to cover books, materials, fees and other expenses. This gives students a chance to begin their career with a good paying job and little or no debt. Recipients also have the opportunity to share their stories with attendees like Pat and Glenda Rogers, founders of the Pat Rogers foundation and the United Maintenance Scholarship. A few of the scholarship recipients shared powerful stories of how they received free child care from the Hudgens Center on campus, which is a facility that’s part of the early childhood education program at the college. This is a win-win for both the college that needs children in the program, and the students who need free child care […]

The Hudgens Center Celebrates Incredible Success of Partnership with Holtkamp Heating & Air

The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning is pleased to announce the continued results and renewal of a strategic partnership with Holtkamp Heating & Air. In addition to generously sponsoring free admission to the galleries since 2017, which has generated thousands of new visitors, the Holtkamp team also serviced all of the center’s HVAC systems and maintained 18 new smart thermostats to maximize energy efficiency. According to Executive Director Ife Williams, “By offering free admission to our galleries, the Holtkamps have helped us eliminate barriers and broaden our audience to include thousands of local attendees who would otherwise be unable to gain exposure to the arts. Additionally, thanks to their heating and air efficiency expertise, we’ve saved thousands of dollars in utility costs that can now be put to good use for our non-profit mission of bringing the arts to all. Finally, the Holtkamps will be sponsoring dozens of passes for free classes to give local citizens the gift of art, many of which will be used to help children enjoy The Hudgens’ Passport to the Arts Summer Camp.” The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning is committed to presenting a strong mix of gallery programming, highlighting both internationally and […]

Holtkamp Heating & Air Announces Request for Proposals for Mural on New Headquarters

Our company has issued a request for proposals and qualifications from professional artists to submit creative ideas for a large wall mural that will appear on the side of our new headquarters on Interstate 85 at the Suwanee Gateway. The mural will transform the exterior of the new building into a highly visual landmark and source of pride for the city of Suwanee and Gwinnett County. Although not limited to Suwanee, Gwinnett County or even Georgia residents, the artists must exhibit knowledge of and connection to the surrounding area and its history in order for their proposals to be seriously considered. “Our goal with this project is to create a distinctive visual landmark art piece that celebrates and reflects elements of the area’s community, beauty, history and diversity,” said Suzanne Holtkamp, VP of Marketing & Operations. “Gwinnett has embraced public art, and we want to continue that trend with a creative and unique design visible from the interstate that will celebrate the arts and draw interest to the Suwanee Gateway.” Professional artists are encouraged to visit this page in our website to download line drawings, site plans, logos and other documents to assist in their proposals. The deadline for submissions is […]
