On Saturday we hosted our first ever HVAC Career Day, giving young people in our community a chance to experience a “Day in the Life of an HVAC Professional.”
Kicking off the day with donuts, Matthew Holtkamp led a group of students through three hours of fun, educational and hands-on activities.
Attendees were able to tour a loaded HVAC van, handle tools of the trade, cut pipes, solder/braze pipes and more.
“Nothing gets me more excited than sharing my love of HVAC,” said Matthew. “All seemed enthralled with what we do and three attendees committed to our apprenticeship program.”
With service jobs providing a great career opportunity right here in Gwinnett County, this workshop was an ideal opportunity to give these students a chance to consider this career path.
We’re excited to plan another Career Day event in the future and invite even more students from the community to explore the world of HVAC!
